Looks a bit rundown on the outside of the hotel/restaurant, however they have done a nice and homey job on the cabins. They are a bit outdated, but are completely self-sustained and the staff have done a nice job trying to make them a bit more modern. I would definitely spend the extra $20 a night to get a cabin, than stay in one of the hotel rooms. The best part of the cabin is they each have a fireplace with a bucket of wood and fire starter. We spent a very comfortable two nights here and it is only five minutes from Broken River where you can spot platypus in the wild.

Quiet, quaint. Beautiful views. The place was built in the 1930's and it's starting to show its age but the place is otherwise well kept. The staff were excellent, I'll happily return

Stunning views over the Pioneer Valley. Cosy cabins, friendly staff. Lovely places to visit & friendly locals. Love the Church Cafe.

A steep drive up the mountains around Mackay, well, for Australians. A menu that can cater for dietary needs and a small shop. There is a hang gliding area and a great view. Good for a day trip.
